Testimonials

To Whom It May Concern,

It is my pleasure to endorse and recommend the physical fitness training program of Shane Boley.

I first began working with Shane in 2005. At that time, my intense focus on my profession had caused me to neglect my own fitness program. My reasonable goal was to lose 30-40 pounds even though my ideal weight was lower. I had little experience with weight training when I started. Shane completed his assessment and informed me it would be very possible for me to reach my ideal weight, a loss of 80 pounds, in only 8 to 10 months. My assumption was that I would need to do a massive amount of cardiovascular exercise and eat a very restricted diet in order to reach theses goals.

Using Shane’s program, I ate six small meals with a balance of carbohydrates, protein and fat. I worked out with resistance training and mild cardiovascular training 3-5 days a week. This program enabled me to build muscle and reduce fat, there by increasing my overall metabolism.

Enthusiastic about the results I achieved, I occasionally tried to speed up my progress by following conventional wisdom by increasing my exercise and further reducing my caloric intake, contrary to Shane’s advice. Unfortunately, deviating from Shane’s prescribed program only hindered my progress.

Following Shane’s program, I was able to lose more than 80 pounds in ten months and increase my fitness levels to pass the US Army fitness tests, allowing me to work with the US Army.

Because of the results I achieved with Shane’s program, I have referred several of the patients in my practice to Shane. He has helped my diabetic patients lose weight, and moderated their blood sugar levels without hunger, muscle pain or injury. Along with a prescribed medical program, Shane’s training helped a severely disabled Chronic Fatigue patient recover normal energy. Shane’s training assists Senior patients restore balance, flexibility and lose weight.

Shane’s approach is revolutionary in that my patients get results without starvation, exhaustion or injury with a program they can easily follow. I only wish all my patients would be wise enough to invest in their health and work with Shane Boley.

Sincerely,

David Charles Klonoff, M.D., F.A.C.P.

“It’s with great pleasure that we offer heartfelt thanks to you and your team, with special recognition to Shane Boley for getting Brett into the best shape of his life! Shane brought an extra measure of enthusiasm to the job, always ran on time and always gave and pushed more than was required. He kicked it into high gear every session, and motivated Brett to beyond what he even expected of himself.”

“I have enjoyed my training with Shane very much. He is an excellent trainer, very careful and caring about his clients. He is one I’m sure you’ll want to keep around. he is always watching to make sure that I train safely, and that I do all the exercises correctly. Always explaining the reasons for doing them correctly to help me understand and therefore learn and instill at the same time. He is never late and never in a rush to finish my session. He always takes time to make sure I understand why the correct way is the safe way. He is patient and very knowledgeable about his profession. I will refer him in the future to anyone interested in a personal trainer.”

“I worked out 3 times a week with Shane Boley. During this 5 month time frame, I lost 31 lbs. (24 lbs of fat) and over 8% body fat. Equally important, I am well-fit from a cardiovascular standpoint, exuding energy. I achieved my target goals, but also corrected the stooped posture I entered the program with to a normal, straight, head held high posture. None of this would have been possible without Shane, his excellent instruction and continuous encouragement and praise. If a 65-year old/young person like me can do it, you can too — with Shane.”

“By working with my teenage daughter and me — often together — Shane has helped create a beautiful bonding experience for the two of us. It’s wonderful to share our goals, time and experience. Both of us are now feeling much healthier, stronger, have better posture, better balance and better attitudes.

But beyond that Shane shaped his training to help me work through a number of health problems — one of which his training and advise played a key role in helping to alleviate. I continue to recommend Shane to friends that I know he could do a lot of good for.”

On March 5, 2010 — I collapsed in my classroom and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. While all symptoms pointed to appendicitis, I wound up in surgery with an abscess to my right fallopian tube. The surgeon fixed the problem, but my martial arts career ended instantly. I am a vocal music teacher by profession, but martial arts was my fitness program. For the next few months, I could not do anything physical to ensure full recovery. I became depressed and stopped taking care of myself. I put on unnecessary weight. I knew it wasn’t right, but I didn’t know what to do.

On Dec. 31, 2010 — I met my trainer, Shawn Siegle, who introduced me to the “No Shane, No Gain” program. I had weight to lose, and I wanted to tone and trim my body.

I started to workout with him twice a week. The workouts are always productive. My trainer is very positive and genuinely cares about my well being, so I always look forward to our sessions.

As a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo, I was no stranger to good form. Form was necessary to demonstrate perfect katas and execute techniques, but it was never stressed when we were doing pushups or situps or any other exercises for warm-up, strength building, or cool down. In that sense, I was not prepared for the emphasis of form during my workouts. My trainer is very particular with form. He says it is the foundation of a good workout, and he is constantly watching that. Good form aligns my body correctly and activates the correct muscles.

I have been with the program for only 3-1/2 months, but so much has changed in my life. I am losing weight, and I am strengthening and toning my muscles. I am physically active, I am healthier, and have more endurance. Most importantly, I am much happier and have a better attitude. My workouts with my trainer are a part of my weekly schedule. I benefit from the positive comments and encouragement which I implement in my daily life. The confidence I have gained from the program is priceless.

“No Shane, No Gain” works. There is no doubt that it does. Your trainer can keep giving you the tools necessary to make it work, but it is up to you to keep making it work. But I also suggest—believe in yourself, be dedicated to the program, and if you are working with a trainer, listen to your trainer. Your trainer and the program will lead you to the right path.

“Mr. Shane Boley worked here as a personal trainer from Nov. 2005 until Nov. 2009. During this time Shane was 100% reliable and punctual with every one of his appointments. He never cancelled with his clients so their confidence and commitment with him would continue to grow.

All of Shane’s clients were trained on a very professional level. He explained everything and always had his clients engaged. I personally feel that Shane’s greatest talent was his ability to motivate and maintain his clients. I have been in the industry for over 25 years (including 15 years with my own PT business) and I know that most people lose their enthusiasm after a very short time. I would say that Shane had the highest record of consistency with his clients than any other trainer I have known.

I cannot give a high enough recommendation to Shane.”
